Book Launch: Photos of School Scenery – NTU at Leisure 2020/11/15 Gallery of NTU History

In the ancient worldview of the East, the sky is round and the earth is square. However, in this photo collection, the author, Professor Nishino Yoshiaki, shows that the sky and the earth can coexist in a round or square space, breaking through the inertia and boundaries of the human “field of vision.”

Professor Nishino Yoshiaki is currently the curator of Intermediatheque, an academic and cultural museum jointly operated by Japan Post Corporation and the University Museum, the University of Tokyo. When Professor Nishino cooperated with NTU Museums many years ago, he was fascinated by the architecture and tropical plants on the campus. Therefore, he and his photography team created unique images of NTU scenery with special lenses, using newly developed photo technology at the time. This year, the museums of the two universities jointly published this NTU campus architectural photography collection, allowing more people to appreciate the beauty of NTU from different perspectives.
