The purpose of Food and Agriculture Education is to re-establish the relationship between people, food, and land, so that we can better understand where food comes from. Rice is the main crop in Taiwan. We will lead children to understand more about rice and let them make memorable craft works with rice.

Fee: Each person will be charged NT$350. Qualifications: Elementary school grades 4-6 (20 participants).

Domestic materials are sustainable, renewable, and ecological. These eco-materials have low processing and energy consumption, low CO2 and pollution emissions, easy natural decomposition, and are reusable. To celebrate the 92nd anniversary of National Taiwan University, NTU Experimental Forest has organized domestic woodworking activities. Limited amount of domestic wood materials will be provided so that we can hand-craft small stools using the traditional jointing process! With this rare chance, we look forward to everyone experiencing traditional woodworking and the beauty of domestic materials!

Fee: Each person will be charged the cost of ingredients.

Qualifications: All are welcome.

The Co-Prosperity Project of NTU Experimental Forest: Achievement Exhibition 2020/11/15 9:00-17:00 1F, NTU Agricultural Exhibition Hall  

This exhibition includes: Display of Tainan No. 16 rice (Luguangmi 鹿光米), grown using friendly farming methods with the assistance of NTU Experimental Forest.

Display of Senzhiyuan Junmai Ginjo (森の源) and Senzhitsang Junmai Daiginjo (森の藏)[1], two kinds

of Japanese sake brewed with Tainan No. 16 rice.

Display of works from the “Wooden Souvenir Workshop” and “Aboriginal Fashion Workshop” designed by the aboriginal residents from Xinyi township and students of National Formosa University and Yunlin University of Science and

Technology.

Fair and wooden tableware DIY activities held by Yong-Long Forestry Cooperative, the community partner of NTU Experimental Forest.

DIY activity time: 10:30am & 1:30pm, 1.5 hrs. each

Free of charge. All ages welcome.
