“Ad hoc voyages” performed at “2023 C-LAB Sound Art Festival: DIVERSONICS” by the students in the Department of Music of NTNU was one of the highly acclaimed programs, which was selected to be reviewed by the PAR Review Platform. Mikrophonie I, a 20th century classic in the subgenre of electronic music, was composed by Karlheinz Stockhausen in 1964. In this work, the microphone, which is mostly used to passively receiving sound, is transformed into an active musical instrument for the performers. The process, comparable to having sound closely examined under a microscope or to the auscultation of the body by a physician, captures the minute vibrations normally inaudible to the human ears. With the diverse acoustic space settings at Forum Music Auditorium, the program starts with Mikrophonie I and combines workshop, interactive performances and exhibition to create one of its kind aesthetic experiences
